      It has been some time since Dave has offered this workshop. Don't miss this!

      The workshop will focus on carving wearable, wildlife art. Feathers, fish, turkeys, ducks, racoons, etc.

      Note: Some painting will be covered as time allows.



    Hand Carved Whistles

      This workshop will feature how to construct and carve decorative whistles. Fun and functional, these carved hand-crafted whistles are sure to be a crowd pleaser. Students will be able to choose from various subject matter.



    18th Century Lion's Head Door Knocker

      This workshop will focus on carving a functional door knocker. The authentic 18th century, Old English theme is unique, and sure to please. Chisel carvers will love this one!



    Painting Nature

      When: September 11-13
      Time: Saturday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
      Sunday, 11:00 am - 6:00 pm
      Monday evening optional

      Dave will be holding his third annual painting workshop for all levels of painters and beginning artists. If you have always wanted to learn how to paint our natural world or would like to improve your painting skills and techniques, here is your chance to learn from one of the nation's most respected wildlife artists.

      Students must bring their own paint and brushes. Acrylics only. Canvases will be provided.

      Materials List:

      Paint - Carbon Black, Titanium White, Titan Buff or Unbleached Titanium, Paynes Gray, Burnt Umber, Raw Umber, Cadmium Yellow Lt., Cadmium Red Lt., Hooker Green, Ultramarine Blue, Burnt Sienna, Raw Sienna. (You may bring other colors if you have them.)

      Brushes - Synthetic Sable (Wonder White, Golden Takalon, etc.)
      Round - No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, No. 4
      Flat - 1/4", 1/2", 1"

      Misc. - Apron, pallete knife, paint rags, small easel (optional)
