Biography

Dave Constantine Photo with Merriams Turkey

David Constantine, a lifelong native of Wisconsin, has emerged as one of America's most respected wildlife artists.

A lifelong resident of the Durand/Eau Claire area, Dave, his wife, Nancy, and two sons, Aaron and Adam, live in a secluded hand-hewn log home in the heart of the Chippewa River Valley. The home serves as his studio and the Chippewa River Valley as his classroom for his wildlife research.

This self-taught artist has depended upon his own God-given talent, experiences and background as the foundation for the development of his work.

Dave has been sketching and studying wildlife since the age of 6. His professional career started as a freelance illustrator for various magazines and books in the mid-70's. In 1978, he published his first limited-edition print which gained him respect as a talented wildlife artist.

Whether it's design, illustrations, original oil or acrylic paintings, or highly-detailed wood sculptures, his work is appreciated by a worldwide circle of wildlife art enthusiasts and collectors
